RON'S BIO
As a child growing up in the 1970s, Ron was fascinated by popular music.  In fact, a big chunk of his paper route money went into his newfound hobby.  During the '70s, he would listen to Casey Kasem count down the hits on American Top 40 every Sunday morning (much to the dismay of his parents who wouldn't see him come out of his room until after the four-hour show).

In 1983, longtime friend Gerry Anton started to DJ college parties at SUNY - Stony Brook.  Ron loved the idea, and within months bought his own equipment and started what is now known as Big Hits Entertainment.  During the next year, Ron transitioned from drunken, rowdy college parties to the world of weddings and special events.

While on Long Island, Ron helped form the Long Island Mobile DJ Association - the first DJ association in New York metro area.  While his business was growing, Ron was growing tired of the fast-paced lifestyle of New York and headed west to San Diego in 1987.  Big Hits Entertainment continues to be one of the top DJ entertainment companies on Long Island to this day.

After moving to California, Ron started Sundance Productions with Eric Sands.  During his five years in San Diego, Ron became a founding member of the Association of Mobile Music Operators.  The partnership of Ron and Eric was a successful one but Ron left for the greener pastures of Colorado in 1992.  Sundance Productions just celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and is now the premier interactive / special events DJ company in San Diego.

Ron is continually looking to improve and learn as much as he can - even after 25 years in the business.  Since 1990, he annually attends seminars, workshops, and conferences around the country on DJ and wedding related topics.  He is a leader in the Colorado wedding industry and is referred by the top wedding vendors and venues.  Ron has been quoted and written about in the San Diego Union, Fort Collins Coloradoan, and the #1 DJ magazine in the country, DJ Times.  In 2005, Ron was elected vice president of the Colorado chapter of the ADJA.

Besides being a music chart historian, Ron's hobbies include almost anything outdoors.  He is an avid cyclist and has ridden more than 60,000 miles by bicycle.  He has completed many tours in all corners of the United States, plus Canada, Mexico, and Europe.  In 1986, he spent the summer riding solo across the country from Los Angeles to New York.  He also loves running and has run close to 200 races including 21 marathons.  He has also completed two Ironman triathlons since 2002 and is planning a third for 2009.

Since moving to Colorado in 1992, Ron has operated his service with one goal in mind - to give his clients unmatched personalized service and quality.  "Colorado's Wedding DJ" still returns all phone calls promptly and guarantees himself at every wedding.  Ron recently celebrated his 20th year as a full-time DJ (longer than anyone in Colorado).
